Tonight Suits returns for its fifth season winter premiere on USA. Last summer things came to a head as there was a big power struggle at the firm. Jack had called for the partners to make a vote of no confidence to remove Jessica. Louis tried to figure out what Daniel was holding over Jack in order to coerce this move, but when Daniel got wind of this, he threatened that if Louis didn’t also vote along with Jack, he would have a client make a hostile takeover of Louis’ sister’s business and dismantle it. At the vote, Harvey showed that he had also been busy trying to find a solution, announcing that one of Daniel’s biggest clients had just dropped him. He then pleaded Jessica’s case, and she won by unanimous vote. Afterwards, Jessica tried to talk Harvey out of leaving the firm, but he insisted on sacrificing himself for everything that had happened. Meanwhile, Mike handed in his own resignation to Harvey. But as the two hugged it out, the police showed up at the office to arrest Mike for conspiracy to commit fraud…

Tonight, WGN America kicks off its newest scripted series, Outsiders, with a commercial-free premiere. For the past 200 years, 7 generations of the Farrell family have lived in their mountaintop homestead in Appalachia, keeping themselves cut off from the rest of the world. Now a bunch of developers who own the land want to reclaim it and all of its resources, but the Farrells will fight to protect Shay Mountain and defend their way of life, at all costs. Local sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas M. Wright, Top of the Lake), whose family has lived in the area for 5 generations, is familiar with the Farrells and is hesitant to get involved as he knows just how violent this battle will get.

Tonight, FOX kicks off its new crime drama with a devilish twist, Lucifer. Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Eliis, Rush, Merlin) is bored and tired of running things in Hell, so he decides to retire and live on Earth. He now resides in Los Angeles, where he owns an upscale nightclub called Lux. Lucifer has a unique effect on the people he meets – they suddenly want to tell him their deepest desires and darkest secrets.
A murder outside of the nightclub causes Lucifer to cross paths with Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German, Chicago Fire).
