If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/2/17
Tonight, A&E’s docu-series, 60 Days In, returns for a third season. Each season regular law-abiding people are sent into a prison for 2 months to pose as inmates to help those in charge uncover issues and corruption within the prison system. A documentary crew interviews the inmates, while cameras inside the prison cells capture all the drama. Even the guards have no idea that some of the prisoners are plants – and the civilians aren’t aware that some of their fellow inmates are also part of the program. The first two seasons took place in Indiana, but at the end of the second season, the details of the program were revealed to the entire prison staff, so this season the series heads to a new location, Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail…

If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/1/2017
PBS’s Spy in the Wild: A Nature Miniseries has been a fun, fascinating show. For this five-part documentary series, over 30 animatronic spy animals were sent undercover to infiltrate nature and secretly record animal behavior. These incredibly realistic looking robotic animals interact with the real animals in their natural habitat to give viewers a unique new perspective on how the animals behave when no one is watching. Some of these spy animals have included Spy Orangutan, Spy Tortoise, Spy Sloth, Spy Cobra, Spy Squirrel, and even Spy Baby Hippo! Over the first four episodes, the series explored animal love, intelligence, friendship and bad behavior. And in tonight’s finale, we get a look behind the scenes at how these amazing animatronic animals were created, how they were integrated into nature, and how they were brought to life to interact with the real animals. Tonight’s episode should be an interesting one, even for those who haven’t yet seen any other episodes. If you want to check out the series before tonight’s behind-the-scenes finale, the first four episodes are all available for viewing via the PBS app/web site…
