My final day at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 was pretty light, especially since they weren’t even using Hall H this year for Sunday panels.
After checking out of my hotel, I met up with some friends to hit the convention center floor one final time. We went directly to the Funko Fusion booth first, but once again I spun and only got a button…I was just one click away from actually getting the Bitty Pop! Next we headed to the Sony TV booth to try one last time to score tickets for the custom The Boys shirts. It was one of the most bizarre experiences I’ve had at Comic-Con. We were told we couldn’t line up, but rather to circle the booth and they would eventually be giving out tickets. Instead of just a normal line procedure, they had folks covertly circling with the crowd, randomly handing out tickets to people who weren’t lining up or stopped. After over 30 minutes, they informed us that all the tickets had been given away. I ended up with nothing despite constantly making eye contact with the “mystery” booth person every time she passed by, but my colleague did manage to get a ticket for the booth later that afternoon.
Dejected, I headed off to the Hilton Bayfront for one final press room.
Press Room for DreamWorks’ Jurassic World: Chaos Theory
DreamWorks’ Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will air its second season on Netflix in September. The series is the follow-up to Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, which ran for five seasons and was set during the events of the first Jurassic World movie,. It followed the adventures of six teens who found themselves trapped on the island after everyone was evacuated. The follow-up series, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, jumped ahead 6 years, and was set between the events of the 2nd and 3rd Jurassic World movies. The Nublar 6, as they were now known, had made it off the island, but now live in a world where dinosaurs are roaming everywhere. While Camp Cretaceous was more of an action/survival tale, Chaos Theory is more of a conspiracy thriller, as this group finds themselves up against a mysterious and dangerous smuggler known as the Broker.
In the press room for the series, I got to speak with executive producers/showrunners Scott Kreamer & Aaron Hammersley, returning voice actors Paul-Mikél Williams (“Darius”), Sean Giambrone (“Ben”), Raini Rodriguez (“Sammy”) & Kausar Mohammed (“Yasmina”), and new stars Darren Barnet (“Kenji”) & Kiersten Kelly (“Brooklynn”) who took over the roles voiced by other actors in Camp Cretaceous. We had some really fun discussions with the cast/showrunners at the roundtables, and I will be posting these videos soon.
Afterwards I headed over to the convention center for the panel for the series, but I got into the room a little early, and first saw the panel/screening for Jellystone.

The Max Original series Jellystone! takes viewers into a world where your favorite Hanna Barbara characters live and work together. And in the upcoming third season, there is going to be an episode where classic Cartoon Network characters The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter, Samurai Jack, Billy, Mojo Jojo, and more cross an interdimensional portal into the town for a fun multiverse related episode. I never really watched these older Cartoon Neytwork shows—I only recently checked out Dexter’s Laboratory—but they screened the episode, and the crowd went wild as each new character showed up for a cameo. Longtime CN fans should have a lot of fun with this episode. Afterwards, executive producer C. H. Greenblatt, director Maxwell Atoms, and Richard Steven Horvitz and other members of the voice cast answered questions from the fans.
Panel for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory
Next the cast/showrunners of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory took the stage for a really fun panel (though much of it was a bit receptive to the answers we got in the pressroom), followed by a screening of the season 2 premiere. The crowd had a great time, and it was surprising that after 6 seasons this was their first visit to SDCC.

The Lodge (One Final Time)
Afterwards, I headed back to The Lodge for my fourth and final visit, meeting up with some friends who were already there and sent me a 4PM ticket. I grabbed a slice of pizza and a drink and just relaxed a bit. On the way out, they had tons of extra Paramount+ Passport scavenger hunt bags, so they gave us one on the way out. This time it also included 2 Lawmen: Bass Reeves-branded drink coozies.
As I walked back to my hotel, I saw a sign at the Pudgy Penguin offering free donuts—Nope! I wasn’t going to fall for that again…not today Final Destination!
I got my checked bags, and headed to the airport, another fun SDCC trip in the books.
