As we get further into the fall season, the number of mainstream/current shows being released on DVD/BD is dwindling. Among this week’s Blu-ray releases are Bored to Death S2, Ken Burns: Prohibition and The Walking Dead S1 (Special Edition). If I didn’t already own the original release of The Walking Dead, I would probably have recommended that. However, the release I’m really looking forward to this week is The League S2. I do not watch any sports, but I love this show. The way these guys are always competing with each other is so hilarious, and Taco’s songs are so funny. The Blu-ray includes extended episodes, music videos and whole bunch of other extras. The new season starts up this Thursday on FX, so I’m looking forward to doing a marathon re-watch of season 2 beforehand.

There are also a lot of DVD-only releases this week. While none of them are on my must list, some that may be worth checking out are Lie To Me S3 and Melissa & Joey S1.5.
