There’s only one new TV release that I’m really excited for this week. While The Cleveland Show S2 and How I Met Your Mother S6 are also solid picks, I can’t wait for The Middle S2. This series is my favorite Wednesday comedy (and possibly my top sitcom in the current Fall TV schedule). What really makes this show are the Heck kids–they are all so unique and hilarious! The third season just premiered last week, and the show is just as great as always. I’m looking forward to laughing all over again at all the wackiness of last season.

As for Blu-ray, out of this week’s HD releases, I have only seen Hung S2 and The Hour. My pick is definitely the UK series The Hour. This was a solid 6-episode political/period drama that fans of shows like Mad Men or Rubicon should really enjoy, and the series looks great in HD.
