This week my picks were very simple to make.

For Blu-ray, I highly recommend Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series. (I found this show far superior to this week’s other BD offering helmed by Steven Moffat, Sherlock: Season One.) I was worried when I heard that David Tennant was leaving the show, but Matt Smith does an excellent job as the 12th Doctor.

For my DVD pick, I am recommending another show based around a doctor, Lie to Me: Season Two, starring Tim Roth as Dr. Cal Lightman. It’s a shame that, unlike the first season, they didn’t do a BD release this time around.
