While this site is called NO Reruns, it is still great to revisit shows on DVD and Blu-Ray, so I’m starting a new feature here where I will list my top pick of the new TV-on-DVD/BD releases for the week.

There is only one new TV-on-BD release this week, the UK series Wallander. As I have not seen this show, I can not make a reccomendation one way or the other.

For TV-on-DVD, I would have definitely recommended Shaun the Sheep: Season 1 but unlike it’s region 2 counterpart, the US release is presented in 4:3 Full Frame Pan & Scan and comes in an unneccessarily large double-wide keep case. Instead I would have to pick Accidentally on Purpose: The First Season (which is really the only season). This sitcom had some good moments and would be work a look. At least it came to some sort of conclusion at the end of the season/series.
