Tonight, NBC launches Powerless, the first sitcom to be set in the DC Comics universe. Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens, High School Musical) is a bright-eyed young woman who is sick of her boring job in the suburbs and decides to move to Charm City to work for Wayne Security as the new Director of Research and Development. Her new boss is Van Wayne (Alan Tudyk, Firefly), the black sheep of his family, who just wants to be noticed by his famous cousin Bruce and to run the family business in Gotham City. Wayne Security creates products to help regular human beings protect themselves from all the crossfire damage caused by battles between super heroes and supervillains.
