Wow, holy HD releases Batman! This might be a record! There are 10 shows being released on Blu-ray this week, which makes my decision really tough! This week’s HD releases include Archer S1, The Big Bang Theory S4, Camelot, Ghost Hunters S6.0, Glee S2, Inspector Lewis S4, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia S6, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Supernatural S6.
My pick of the week is the extended-length season 3 of Sanctuary. This show looks fantastic in HD, and the third season gave us 20 episodes instead of the usual 13. Season 3 picks up right where season 2 left us hanging, as a huge tidal wave threatens the Earth. There are several story arcs this season, as well as a lot of great monster-of-the-week episodes mixed in. Here’s your chance to catch up before the fourth season starts on October 7.

There are so many DVD releases this week as well. All of the series being released on Blu-ray have corresponding DVD releases. Plus we also get Blue Bloods S1, Blue Mountain State S2, Outsourced, Private Practice S4 and Rescue Me S6. My pick of the week is Grey’s Anatomy S7. I wasn’t a fan of the musical episode (there is an extended version on this DVD set!), but I found the rest of the season quite enjoyable. Last season the show felt more like the show I originally fell in love with in the earlier seasons. I was happy to see no ghost romances last season (oops, maybe I should have said Spoiler Alert!).
