If you have not seen the Fifth Season of Dexter yet, then you need to stop reading this right now and go pick it up! Season 5 picks up immediately where season 4 left off. The major arc of this season finds Dexter trying to help Lumen Pierce (played by Julia Stiles) get revenge against the men who kidnapped and raped her. Meanwhile, Agent Liddy (Peter Weller), Quinn and Debra are all getting close to discovering the true identify of “Kyle Butler” and his role in the Trinity case. Season 5 also includes great guest performances by Jonny Lee Miller and Shawn Hatosy. Another great season, and the perfect time to catch up before the new season premieres in September.

For DVD, I’m recommending a show I have not seen but heard really good things about, the British romantic comedy-drama Gavin & Stacey: Complete Collection. The series follows the relationship between the titular characters and their best friends who don’t get along. I have heard some people refer to the recent series Mad Love as a bad rip-off of this show. This set contains all 20 episodes of the series (3 seasons and a Christmas special).
