I think I was the only person who watched (and enjoyed) The Cape, so I won’t be making that my pick. Instead, my new release pick of the week is Eureka: Season 4.0. (I don’t normally support or condone half-season DVD releases as they are more expensive and take up more room on the shelf, but there is nothing else I prefer this week.) In this first half of the fourth season, everything you thought you knew about the town and people of Eureka is shaken up and thrown off its axis. There is some time travel involved in the season premiere, and the butterfly effects that result give the show some much-needed fresh air. Eureka is no longer tied down to the events of the previous seasons, and some characters are even given whole new personalities and back stories. This DVD release also includes the Warehouse 13 crossover episode. The second half of the season resumes this month on SyFy, so now is a good time to catch up!
