No Blu-ray releases this week to recommend. For the DVD pick, I will go with Life Unexpected: The Complete First and Second Seasons. Overall it was an enjoyable series, and worth checking out if you haven’t seen it already. The nice thing is that the producers knew the end was coming, so they wrapped things up in a bit of a flash-forward in the second season finale.

While I couldn’t really get into the show, fans will definitely want to pick up Friday Night Lights: The Fifth Season. This is being released before NBC has even finished airing these episodes of the final season! So fans without DirecTV will want to pick this up to devour the final episodes of the series as soon as possible.
