In Universal Home Entertainment’s 2 Guns, when an attempt to take down a drug cartel blows up in their faces, two undercover operatives are forced to go on the run together, though neither knows that the other is a federal agent. Suddenly, everyone on both sides of the law wants them dead, and their only hope is to trust each other. Featuring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, we celebrate the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD release on November 19th, by teaching you key Spanish phrases inspired by Papi Greco.
1.) Dónde está el cajero automático más cercano”
(Where is the nearest ATM?)
Possibly the most important phrase to know after ‘where is the bathroom?’ You never know when you will run into a sticky situation that requires a quick trip to your nearest bank. If you’re dealing with crime royalty like Papi Greco and his crew, we highly suggest you learn this phrase, pronto! Don’t ever keep the drug cartel waiting for their money.
2) “Dónde está mi coche”
(Where is my car?)
This phrase will be helpful to you during a fast getaway if Papi Greco’s team were to chase you, or if you get lost in a parking lot during holiday shopping. In either event, learning this Spanish phrase will be to your benefit. If you do find yourself in the situation that needs this phrase, just make sure it is in fact, your car.
3) “Dónde está la policía”
(Where are the police?)
Depending on the reason, you may want to use this phrase sparingly. Obviously, if you are in a predicament like Mark and Denzel, the police aren’t exactly your best friend. However, if you are running for your life from the drug cartel, this might be the life-saving phrase to know, possibly even to scream at the top of your lungs.
4) “Quieres un buñuelo ”
(Would you like a donut?)
We’re not saying that all cops love donut shops but we are saying that they coincidentally place themselves nearest to these establishments. In the event that you need to sweet talk your way out or into a situation, these treats are usually the best option to use.
5) “Tu eres muy guapa”
(You are beautiful)
Sure, the guys spent a lot of time running from the cartel and the Feds but they still found time to appreciate the beautiful view, like Paula Patton. You might be on the lookout but you’re not blind, so use this phrase when you see that beautiful senorita that might be impressed with your efforts to compliment in her native language. But like most of these phrases, proceed with caution, for all you know she may have ties to Papi Greco.
