New Detective Series BERGERAC Streams on PBS Masterpiece on Prime Video & PBS Passport on August 16, Ahead of Fall Broadcast Debut

Season 1 of the highly anticipated detective series Bergerac debuts in the U.S. with all six episodes available to stream on Sunday, August 16 with PBS Masterpiece on Prime Video and PBS Passport. This modern reimagining of iconic 1980s original series stars Damien Molony, Zoë Wanamaker, Philip Glenister, Chloé Sweet Love, Robert Gilbert, Lesley Sharp, Adrian Edmondson, and more. The series will air on PBS broadcast channels later on (likely in mid-late October).

Season Description: Bergerac sees the return of the iconic Jersey-set detective series in Toby Whithouse’s (Being Human, The Game) modern reimagining of this much-loved classic, starring Damien Molony (The Split, Brassic) in the titular role. Jim Bergerac as a broken man, battling his demons and on leave after the death of his wife. But when a member of one of Jersey’s wealthiest families is murdered, Chief of Police Uma Dalal wants their best detective on the case. Bergerac returns to work to not only crack the case but also to prove to his daughter Kim and mother-in-law Charlie Hungerford (Zoë Wanamaker, Professor T) that his life is back on track. If Bergerac can solve the case, then maybe he can also show he’s still capable of being a good father.
