Aleshea Harris’ Revenge Thriller IS GOD IS Gets Home Video Summer Release Date

June 11, 2026 – New York, NY – Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment announce the DVD and Blu-ray™ release of Is God Is, the critically-acclaimed film from director Aleshea Harris. Bring it home on July 28th.
Is God Is is Aleshea Harris’ directorial debut and is based on Harris’s adaptation of her critically-acclaimed stage play of the same name. The play won an Obie Award (2018), Relentless Award (2016), and the Helen Merrill Playwriting Award (2019).
The story follows Racine (Kara Young) and Anaia (Mallori Johnson), twin sisters with disfiguring burns. The sisters’ world is upended when the mother (Vivica A. Fox) they believed long dead summons them to her bedside and reveals that their father (Sterling K. Brown) is responsible for her bedridden state as well as their scars. When she orders them to kill him for what he did, the sisters must decide whether to seek vengeance or find mercy.
A story fueled by righteous anger and revenge, Is God Is also serves as a reminder that in order to set ourselves free, we must face the truth… no matter how hard it is.
Is God Is premiered theatrically on May 15th, 2026 to resounding critical praise. The film was officially certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a Tomatometer score of 97%. It also holds a 90% score with verified audience reviews on the Popcornmeter.
