Roku Unwraps New Original Holiday Titles “The Holiday Shift” from CBS Studios and Fulwell73 and “How to Fall in Love by the Holidays” starring Teri Hatcher

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Oct. 12, 2023 — Today, Roku, the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S.*, announced plans to bring more Roku Original holiday content to audiences, sharing plans to bring half-hour romantic comedy series “The Holiday Shift” from CBS Studios and Fulwell73 and romantic comedy film “How to Fall in Love by the Holidays” starring Teri Hatcher to The Roku Channel this November.

“The Holiday Shift” is a five-episode romantic comedy series following the intersecting love stories of young mall employees during the holiday season. The ensemble cast includes Varun Saranga, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Devyn Nekoda, Nadine Bhabha, Brielle Robillard, and Michael Delleva, and features Sarah Levy and Jon Dore.
“The Holiday Shift” is produced by CBS Studios and Fulwell73. Tommy Johnagin, Paul Fox, Joe Hardesty, Ben Winston, Leo Pearlman, Jeff Grosvenor, Amit Pandya, Jackie Filgo, and Jeff Filgo serve as executive producers. The series is created by Tommy Johnagin. All episodes of “The Holiday Shift” will stream free beginning Friday, November 17.
“How to Fall in Love by the Holidays” follows a beloved writer-turned-CEO (Teri Hatcher), who must save her company by writing a column on her falling in love by the holidays – complicated by the handsome photographer who has been assigned to the piece.
“How to Fall in Love by the Holidays” is distributed by Reel One Entertainment. Tom Berry, Suzanne Chapman, Breanne Hartley, Louisa Cadywould, Sebastian Battro, and Laurence Braun serve as executive producers. The film is written by Ansley Gordon and directed by Michael Kennedy. “How to Fall in Love by the Holidays” streams for free beginning Friday, November 3.

Streamers can enjoy a variety of holiday programming for free on The Roku Channel this holiday season. In addition to “The Holiday Shift” and “How to Fall in Love by the Holidays,” Roku is also bringing audiences Roku Original holiday titles “The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday” (starting Friday, November 10), which will feature a lineup of celebrity baker contestants; “Martha Holidays” (starting Monday, December 4) starring the iconic Martha Stewart; and “A Very Demi Holiday Special” (starting Friday, December 8) starring global superstar Demi Lovato.
The Roku Channel will also bring audiences classic holiday titles like “Miracle on 34th Street”; festive music linear channels from Vevo; and holiday movie marathons on Hallmark Movies & More, Holiday Movie Favorites by Lifetime, Christmas Plus, and Dove linear channels available through The Roku Channel’s Live TV Guide.
The new titles join Roku’s growing slate of Roku Originals including “WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story,” “The Great American Baking Show,” “Die Hart 2: Die Harter,” “Meet Me in Paris,” “Honest Renovations,” “Morimoto’s Sushi Master,” and more.
