In the ’80s and early ’90s, it seemed like most shows would print the episode title on the screen when the show started.  Nowadays very few shows do this.  If you want to see an episode title, you need need to look at the DVR, or try to look it up on the internet if you have already deleted the show.  I miss these episode titles–they had a way of making the episode complete and self-contained–rather than relying on some outside source for the information.  Without them, it’s like reading a book without the title page.
