HBO’S “WESTWORLD” TO HEADLINE ATX TV FESTIVAL CLOSING NIGHT EVENT

HBO + HBO MAX RETURN AS PRESENTING FESTIVAL PARTNERS

Festival Programming Schedule Also Released

AUSTIN, Texas –  Longtime partner and presenting sponsors HBO and HBO Max will return to ATX TV Festival this June to headline the festival’s Closing Night Event on Saturday, June 4, with a panel conversation for the network’s epic, Emmy award-winning drama series, “Westworld,” from creators, executive producers, writers, and directors Lisa Joy, and Jonathan Nolan.

Panelists include Lisa Joy (Co-Creator, Writer, Director, and Executive Producer), Alison Schapker (Writer and Executive Producer), and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, and Angela Sarafyan.

Westworld’s eight-episode fourth season will debut Sunday, June 26 on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.


The series was created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, who are executive producers with Alison Schapker, Denise Thé, J.J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, and Ben Stephenson. Production companies: Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television; based on the film written by Michael Crichton.

HBO Max will also present an ATX TV Trivia Night for Camp Badgeholders following the “Westworld” panel to test the knowledge of fans and industry alike on the wide array of programming available on the platform.

Previously announced HBO and HBO Max programming includes:

  • A Conversation with ATX TV Breakthrough Awardee Sydney Sweeney (HBO Originals “Euphoria, The White Lotus”)
  • A Panel Conversation with the creative team behind the Max Original series “Station Eleven,” co-presented with Paramount Television Studios
  • Creator/Showrunner/Executive Producer/Writer/Actor Robin Thede (HBO Original “A Black Lady Sketch Show”) to join a panel conversation highlighting “Comedy Showrunners,” as well as the micro-conversation “Robin Thede Answers Your Questions About the Industry”
  • “Euphoria” music supervisor Jen Malone to join “The Last Note” panel conversation
