At the Sons of Anarchy press room at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con we spoke with creator Kurt Sutter, executive producer/director Paris Barclay, and cast members Katey Sagal, Kim Coates, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Theo Rossi, Dayton Callie, David Labrava, Niko Nicotera, and Drea de Matteo.
It was a wild room (as you will see in the videos), the craziest of the weekend! While we were talking with Mark Boone Junior and Tommy Flanagan, they broke out into song in the middle of my question—and at the end Mark pointed at me saying “this guy should be fired—he never asked a question”, and then proceeded to fire a rubber band at me, which hit me square in the forehead. Afterwards, he looked for it on the ground as he needed it to tie back his hair. And while we were speaking with Katey Sagal, I felt this tapping on my shoulder and someone whispered in my ear “Dude, your composition’s all off”, pointing to my video camera—I turned to discover it was Kurt Sutter.
