JOY RIDE 3: ROADKILL

Rusty Nail, the vengeful trucker with a penchant for pain, slams terror into overdrive in this all-new UNRATED chapter of Joy Ride! Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment takes road rage to an all new level with JOY RIDE 3: ROAD KILL, arriving on Digital HD June 3 and on Blu-ray & DVD June 17. This third hellish installment in the bloody series finds director Declan O’Brien (Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings, Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines) in the driver’s seat for another deadly detour.

The nightmare begins when a group of young street racers take a desolate shortcut on their way to the Road Rally 1000. But a chance encounter with Rusty soon turns deadly as he stalks, taunts, and tortures his next victims with deranged delight. It’s a full-throttle, pedal-to-the-metal chill ride packed with killer twists and turns!

Starring Ken Kirzinger (Freddy vs. Jason) as the infamous Rusty Nail, the JOY RIDE 3: ROAD KILL Blu-ray and DVD is loaded with extra features including a variety of deleted scenes, featurettes, behind-the-scenes content and a gruesome unrated version of the film.

“I Do My Own Stunts”

Ken Kirzinger is back as Rusty Nail, the murderous truck driver from Joy Ride 3: Roadkill, available on Blu-ray and DVD June 17th.  While Ken’s work may be unfamiliar to some, the versatile actor & stuntman has appeared in, and worked on numerous films and TV shows including Watchmen, X-Men: The Last Stand, Shooter, Walking Tall, The 13th Warrior, The X-Files and more. It’s not often that actors are able to double-up as their own stuntmen. Below, we take a look at some of the biggest names in Hollywood to act and do their own stunt work in film.

Jackie Chan

Notorious for always doing his own stunt work, the hilarious martial arts expert made a name for himself starring in numerous action-comedies in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. Little do people know, he actually began his career as a stuntman, working on Bruce Lee’s films Enter The Dragon and Fist Of Fury. While the Rush Hour films were the peak of his acting career, Jackie has numerous other career options. In addition to his acting and martial arts skills, he is also an accomplished vocalist who has recorded over 20 songs, in 5 different languages!

Tom Cruise

Hollywood mega-star Tom Cruise prides himself on doing his own stunt work in films.  He claims that at this point in his career, he doesn’t get scared filming action sequences. In a recent interview on the Graham Norton Show, he said “’I don’t get scared. It’s quite technical but sometimes things go wrong.” His passion for acting and fearless approach to action, are part of the reason he’s seen as one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars – even after 30 years in the industry!

Angelina Jolie

What can’t this woman do? On top of being one of Hollywood’s leading ladies, this mother of six also does her own stunt work. In her most recent film, Disney’s Maleficent, she did all of the cable work for her flying scenes. However, her most trying work took place during shooting for her role as a Russian sleeper spy in 2010’s Salt. The films saw her running, ducking, sliding, and shooting all over the place – adding “action star” to her already stellar credentials as an actress.

Daniel Craig

At 46 years of age, Daniel Craig has the physique most college-aged men would kill for. Playing James Bond in the 007 films requires home to do some of the most daring stunt work captured on film. This is especially evident when watching the opening scene of 2006’s Casino Royale, when Bond has to chase down a skilled, parkour-skilled bad guy. Luckily for us, as well he MI-6, Craig is just the man for the job!
