My pick for the week is Justified - Season 2 if for nothing else than for the stellar guest performance by Margo Martindale. The second season literally picks up right where the first season left off. This season finds US Marshal Raylan Givens at odds with a ruthless Harlan County crime family led by matriarch Mags Bennett. Pick up this set today and (re)watch before the season 3 premiere on January 17th. (Note: Best Buy is also offering a version with a free t-shirt.)

I really want to recommend Royal Pains – Season Three – Volume One as my DVD pick because I really enjoy this show. However, I am not really a supporter of these split-season releases. First off, they cost more, and second (and more importantly), they take up extra shelf space. There are only supposed to be 16 episodes in the third season and this set contains 10 of them! So if you somehow missed the first half of the season and want to catch up before the season resumes on January 18th, then pick this up. Otherwise I’d hold off to see how they release the rest of the season.
